Pastor John came back to his hometown and home church after completing seminary (1998-2001) and after serving three years (2002-2005) at West End Baptist Church in Aliceville, AL. He joined the Calvary Baptist Church staff and family in the summer of 2005. He initially was the Youth Pastor and became the Interim Pastor in 2008. In 2009 he was called to be the full time Pastor. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Alabama and a Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has a passion for Christ, for preaching/teaching the truth of His Word, and for seeing God be glorified, honored, and magnified in and through the lives of His people. John and his wife Jane have been married since 2008 and are the proud parents of Grace, Noah, and Abigail.

Tim Spalding

Tim Spalding joined the Calvary Baptist Church staff and family in the summer of 2009. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from William Carey University. He loves listening to music, singing, and glorifying God through worship, music, and song. He enjoys playing the piano and teaches others how to play as well.  Tim and his wife Terri have been married since 2008.
